Civic and Social Innovation Group @ Cal State LA

CaSIG is a coalition of CSULA faculty, students, staff, and community partners who steward students in making positive social change with purpose and creativity. Founded in 2017 by professors Marla A. Parker and Dmitri Seals, the Group now engages dozens of community partners and reaches over 200 students per semester across a wide variety of disciplines.

The Summit events have been amazing – check out their amazing plans for change here – but they’re just the beginning. The Rooted Innovator Lab will help a cohort of students go beyond the entrepreneurial phase of ideation. The Social Innovation Prize competition financially supports students with groundbreaking ideas that can make a difference. The Social Impact Career Connector gives students the opportunity to connect with up and running organizations that #dogood. Stay tuned on social media, much more to come from CaSIG:
