Cultural shifts: mental health, coronavirus, racial bias and more
The pandemic changed the cultural landscape and introduced a landslide of new mental and emotional burdens into countless lives. The CaSIG Summits on Cultural Emotions brought together over 70 rising cultural sociologists to untangle the factors impacting lives and create strategies to support new systems of belief and action.
These scholars began with qualitative interviews digging deep into their chosen issues. They then worked in teams to develop strategies to shift the cultural environment, tackling issues like institutional racism, stigma in mental health, and even climate change.
